How long does AC replacement take in Lehigh Acres?

Most AC replacements in Lehigh Acres are completed in one day. Timing can vary based on equipment access, ductwork condition, electrical upgrades, and the scope of work.

Do I need a permit to replace my AC in Lehigh Acres, FL?

Yes. AC replacement typically requires a permit and inspection in Lehigh Acres/Lee County. Comfort Peeps Heating and Cooling coordinates the permit process and schedules required inspections.

What size AC system does my Lehigh Acres home need?

Proper sizing depends on your home’s square footage, insulation, windows, ductwork, and layout. An oversized or undersized system can lead to comfort issues and higher humidity, so we evaluate your home to recommend the right size.

How much does AC replacement cost in Lehigh Acres?

AC replacement costs vary by home and system selection. Many replacements fall in the $6,500 to $15,000+ range depending on efficiency level, ductwork condition, electrical requirements, and permit needs. We provide clear options and upfront pricing.

Should I repair my AC or replace it?

If your system is older (often 10–15+ years), uses R-22 refrigerant, needs frequent repairs, or struggles with comfort and humidity, replacement may be the better long-term option. We can inspect your system and help you compare repair vs. replacement.

Do you install heat pumps in Lehigh Acres?

Yes. Comfort Peeps specializes in heat pump systems, which are commonly used in Southwest Florida for efficient cooling and heating. We can recommend the right heat pump setup for your home and budget.

When Is It Time to Replace Your AC in Lehigh Acres?

Many homes in Lehigh Acres still rely on older systems that struggle in Florida’s heat and humidity. It may be time to replace your AC if you’re experiencing:

Your system is 10–15+ years old
Rising electric bills with no change in usage
Frequent breakdowns or expensive repairs
Rusted evaporator or condenser coils
R-22 refrigerant systems
Uneven cooling or high indoor humidity
AC runs constantly but never feels comfortable

In many cases, replacement is more cost-effective long-term than continuing to repair an aging system.

Mid-efficiency systems: $8,500 – $11,500

Permit and inspection requirements in Lee County

We provide clear options and upfront pricing, so you can choose the system that fits your home and budget.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am so happy with the service I received. I called two other companies who either couldn't find the correct part or never showed up. Not only did my technician show up on time, but he was completely courteous, super friendly and quite obviously knowledgeable. He had my heat up and running within moments, and tested my AC too before leaving, and all is well. The pricing I received was was not expensive. I know because of the estimates I received, even for the "no-show" and guy who "couldn't find the part" were vastly more expensive. I highly recommend Comfort Peeps for all your HVAC needs.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brandon, my service tech was AWESOME! He went into each room & adjusted each AC vent.
Never have I had an AC tech that was so thorough! In addition, he went on the roof where the compressor is located & rinsed coils as salt in the air does so much damage.
He was very personable and answered all my questions.
He is definitely an asset to Comfort Peeps!
